Monet’s House: a Haven of Peace in Giverny

From 1883 to 1926, Oscar-Claude Monet lived in his house in Giverny. In this magnificent country house, he devoted himself to his art.

Founder of impressionism, Monet has marked the history of art. His talent is felt in the house of Giverny. Whether it is the gardens, in which he spent a lot of time, the living rooms or through some of his works, you discover the life of the painter.

The maintenance of the house is perfect. Visitors enjoy the interior of the Maison de Giverny as much as its gardens.

The house became famous for its Japanese garden, which inspired many of Monet’s paintings. The garden includes a water lily pond, which was immortalized in his “Water Lilies” paintings.
